The King CR4033XPSTDX is a set of four performance rod bearings engineered for high-load, extended-period applications. These bearings utilize advanced metallurgical and geometric technologies to meet extreme performance demands, making them suitable for race cars with forged steel aftermarket crankshafts. The XP-Series rod bearings feature King's innovative Xtreme Performance Max Black Tri-Metal construction. This design incorporates a 24 percent stronger overlay and 17 percent more fatigue strength through a SecureBond micro-process. The tri-metal layers include copper-lead construction, a nickel plate barrier, and a lead/tin/copper Babbitt overlay over a steel backing, ensuring superior stability and durability. King Engine Bearings maintains wall thickness tolerances with exceptional accuracy, reportedly +/- .0001 inches. These XP-Series bearings are narrowed on the crank cheek side and feature increased crush height. This design enhances bearing-to-bore contact and heat transfer, while also reducing the potential for spinning in high-rpm situations. The bearings are designed for standard size applications and are compatible with Acura and Honda engines, including specific fitments for 1997 Acura CL models and various Honda Accord and other models from 1988-1997.
