The Conforti Shark Injector Stage 3 Performance Software is engineered to optimize the performance of BMW E36 328i, E39 528i, and Z3 2.8 models equipped with M3 camshafts, an M50 manifold, and a cold air intake. This software package, developed by tuning expert Jim Conforti, aims to increase horsepower and torque while improving engine smoothness and throttle response. The software modifies key engine parameters including fuel maps, timing, VANOS operation, rev limit, and top speed limiter. It is designed to work with premium gasoline (91 minimum octane) and allows for a 7,000 RPM rev limit. The Stage 3 package specifically targets vehicles running an OBD-I M50 manifold, E36 M3 camshafts (S50 or S52), and a cold air intake, with a claimed 40whp gain on a dynamometer. Installation is facilitated through the vehicle's OBD port, allowing the Shark Injector to read the stock software and install its performance tune directly into the ECU. This process bypasses the need to remove the computer from the vehicle. Standard trickle chargers or battery maintainers may not provide sufficient power. This software is exclusively for US models and is not compatible with Euro/UK/AUS/Asian market models. Emissions notice: The software was developed and tuned on vehicles with stock and fully functional emissions controls. It has not been submitted or tested for approval in California and is therefore not legal for use in that state on any pollution-controlled motor vehicle.
