Performance Springs for Datsun 240Z

The Swift sport springs are engineered by ZSM Custom specifically for the Datsun 240Z chassis, offering a true linear spring rate for enhanced performance and handling. Swift, a material science company, develops its own steel alloys and in-house manufacturing processes to ensure consistent spring performance. This linearity in both rebound and compression rates mimics each other, providing more predictable suspension behavior compared to progressive springs, which can negatively impact ride quality and dampening control. The kit includes a built-in helper spring to eliminate slack when the suspension is unloaded and to ease the transition into compression, referred to as a "2-step linear spring" design. Swift's chosen spring rates are calculated for optimal balance with available S30 shock inserts, avoiding the common issue of "over-sprung" setups found with some competitor springs. While primarily tested with Koni Yellow sport shocks (MSA part numbers 23-1031 for fronts and 23-1032 for rears), other brands of shock absorbers are expected to yield similar results. The springs are finished in a signature bronze orange color and lower the vehicle by approximately 30mm (+/-5mm) from factory ride height for a balanced aesthetic and performance. Fitment is for the Datsun 240Z. Specific early 1974 260Z Coupe models produced from 9/73 through 8/74 are also compatible when using specific Motorsport Linear Performance Springs (part 23-4051) and Koni Sport Adjustable Gas Struts (part 23-1031 fronts, 23-1032 rears). However, these Swift springs are specifically designed for the 240Z chassis. Will not fit 2+2 (4-seater) models.
