The Mishimoto 2015-2021 Subaru WRX Street Performance Top-Mount Intercooler is engineered to address the limitations of the stock intercooler when pushing more boost through the FA20DIT engine. This direct-fit unit replaces the factory intercooler, providing a more robust solution for enhanced performance. It is specifically designed for optimal performance on vehicles utilizing stock tunes up to stage 2 maps and tunes. Constructed with fully cast aluminum end tanks TIG-welded to a bar-and-plate core, this intercooler maximizes cooling efficiency while minimizing pressure drop. The design boasts significant increases over the stock unit, including a 76% increase in core volume and an 81% increase in external fin surface area. These enhancements result in a 34°F drop in intercooler outlet temperatures and a 12% increase in flow, making it an ideal upgrade for tuned WRXs. The intercooler is compatible with the stock engine cover and charge pipe, and it includes a pre-drilled and tapped NPT sensor port. Mishimoto offers this intercooler in black, silver, or gold finishes, with an optional ducting kit available for further airflow enhancement. Like all Mishimoto products, this intercooler comes with the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty, ensuring a worry-free installation and long-term reliability.
