The Edelbrock #60735 Performer RPM cylinder head is a performance-oriented aluminum cylinder head engineered for 1955-86 Small-Block Chevy applications. It is perfectly suited for street performance, daily drivers, street rods, and muscle cars that require a significant upgrade in power and throttle response. Key specifications include a 2.02-inch intake valve diameter, a 1.60-inch exhaust valve diameter, 195 cc intake runner volume, and a 70 cc combustion chamber. Installation considerations include the recommendation for .100" longer than stock pushrods when using stock rockers, with Edelbrock pushrods #9629 being specifically recommended. Head Bolt Kits are advised for straightforward installation. The recommended spark plugs are Champion RC12YC or equivalent, requiring a 14mm x 3/4" reach with a flat gasket seat. Important fitment notes: S/B Chevy heads may not be used on engines with less than a 4-inch bore (specifically 262, 265, 283, 305, and 307 c.i.d.) unless paired with camshafts having less than .450" valve lift. This product is for use on pre-pollution controlled vehicles only.
