PERRIN Front Mount Intercooler Kit

The PERRIN Front Mount Intercooler Kit is an aftermarket upgrade designed to optimize the performance of turbocharged 2022+ Subaru WRX models. This kit aims to add power and improve engine bay aesthetics through its robust construction and design. The core of this intercooler measures 28” long x 9.25” tall x 3.5” deep, offering a substantial volume of 906.5 cu-in. The intercooler utilizes a 3/8” bar and plate design, which is noted for its superior durability against road debris compared to traditional tube and fin designs. The core itself is finished with a powder coat in either bright silver or stealth black for protection against the elements. PERRIN's design extends to the end tanks, which are shaped to effectively disperse hot charge air across the entire intercooler core. By eliminating sharp 90º corners and incorporating a smooth, gradual taper, turbulence is minimized, allowing for more efficient heat exchange. The kit also includes a CNC-machined throttle body adapter to streamline the boost tube connection. The boost tubes, up to 2.75” in diameter, are crafted from lightweight, CNC-mandrel-bent aluminum tubing. They feature smooth routing and an oversized beaded end to ensure secure connections under high boost conditions. These tubes are powder-coated for durability and are available in textured black or red finishes. Perrin Performance emphasizes quality by pressure testing every intercooler to 50 psi to guarantee against leaks that could compromise turbo boost pressure and lead to power loss. Additionally, a free PERRIN logo intercooler stencil is included for a custom aesthetic touch.
