PFS POD Gearbox Upgrade for N54/N55 HPFP

The Vargas Turbocharger Technologies PFS POD (Planetary OverDrive) is an innovative overspeed gearbox upgrade specifically engineered for the N54 and early N55 high-pressure fuel pumps (HPFP). By increasing the pump's shaft speed by a factor of three, this upgrade substantially enhances the fuel flow capacity of a stock N54 HPFP. This increased output capability allows enthusiasts to achieve higher power levels while maintaining factory direct injection (DI) control, making it an ideal solution for those seeking more power than the stock fuel system can provide, and avoiding the complexities of port or methanol injection systems. The PFS POD has undergone extensive reliability testing, including months of real-world driving across multiple vehicles and thousands of miles, as well as rigorous bench testing. It features phenolic gaskets and a convenient brace for seamless integration into high-powered setups. For optimal performance, an upgraded in-tank low-pressure fuel pump (LPFP) is recommended: a Single Shot 274 LPFP for up to approximately 600whp, and a Double Shot dual 274 or better for power levels exceeding 600whp. Installation generally does not require tune changes, though minor adjustments are recommended to maximize performance. Please note that the PFS POD does not fit the 5 Series without brace modification; further details are available upon request. The kit includes the fuel rail, POD unit, phenolic gaskets for the fuel rail, a high-pressure line, a -6 hose with a new LPFP sensor bracket, and a bracket with bolts and washers.
