The PHR Powerhouse Racing SPAL 15.2" Single Brushless Fan Kit offers a significant cooling upgrade for Lexus IS300 models, especially those with turbo builds and front-facing intercooler setups. The factory fan shroud can impede intercooler installation, but this single main fan layout directly solves that common fitment challenge. At its core is a SPAL 15.2" Brushless Main Fan, capable of moving an impressive 4200 m³/h (2478 CFM) of air. This fan utilizes variable-speed PWM control, allowing for precise management of fan speed from 600 rpm up to 2350 rpm. This advanced control, whether managed by an aftermarket ECU or a SPAL PWM controller, ensures fans ramp up gradually with coolant temperature increases, unlike older on/off systems. The brushless design contributes to a longer lifespan, quieter operation, and increased resistance to vibration and mechanical stress. Additionally, high-speed bypass flaps are integrated to allow passive airflow through the radiator at cruising speeds, optimizing efficiency and reducing the fan's workload. This kit is constructed from aluminum and offers several customizable options. Customers can choose from various finishes for the fan shroud and an optional integrated overflow tank, which bolts cleanly onto the shroud. Available finishes for the overflow tank include raw aluminum, gloss black, matte black, wrinkle black, and polished. The option for a dedicated wiring harness for the 15.2" fan is also available. The fan's brushless motor design also results in lower amp draws and more efficient power consumption compared to standard brushed motors, with this specific fan rated at 500 watts and a maximum draw of 43 amps.
