Piston Kit

Forged from 2618 aluminum alloy for high strength and low expansion, these dome-style pistons are part of MAHLE's PowerPak+ kits for Chevrolet Small Block engines. They feature a slipper skirt design for lightweight and low drag, phosphate coating to prevent microwelding/pin galling, and Grafal® anti-friction skirt coating to reduce drag, scuffing, friction, and cylinder bore wear. This kit is for a 399 cubic inch (cid) engine with a 4.185-inch bore, 3.625-inch stroke, 6.125-inch rod length, and 1.062-inch compression height. It includes pistons, rings, clips, and pins, and is designed for 23-degree cylinder heads, yielding a 13.8:1 compression ratio with 64cc heads. An optional Thermal Barrier Coating is available.
