This Clevite connecting rod bearing set is designed for Ford 240 and 300 6-cylinder engines produced between 1965 and 1993. The bearings are made from 100% lead-free aluminum silicon alloy, which contains approximately 60% more silicon than some competing products. This higher silicon content is claimed to improve journal surface conditioning, enhancing seizure and wear resistance, and contributing to a smoother running engine. The bearings are manufactured to meet or exceed OEM quality standards, making them a dependable replacement part for rebuilding these classic Ford 6-cylinder engines.
