The DIYAutoTune MSPNP2-EEC4A8 is a Plug and Play Engine Control Unit (ECU) engineered for enhanced engine management in select Ford vehicles. Designed for a straightforward installation, it averages under one hour and comes pre-loaded with a 5.0 HO base map to ensure your engine starts on the first turn of the key. This ECU enables real-time tuning and data logging capabilities through a laptop connection, supporting most aftermarket wideband sensors for accurate calibration. Its internal 4-bar MAP sensor allows for operation in both MAF and speed-density configurations, reading up to 44 PSI of boost. The unit mounts in the stock location, utilizing factory mounting points. The MSPNP2-EEC4A8 features 16x16 fuel tables and 12x12 ignition tables for high-resolution tuning, along with multiple acceleration enrichment strategies and closed-loop idle speed control. It includes onboard peak and hold drivers that support both high and low impedance injectors, eliminating the need for an external ballast resistor. The unit also offers a built-in 2-step rev limiter with launch control and flat shift functionality, real-time barometric correction, and an adjustable sensitivity knock sensor input with headphone output for on-the-fly tuning. Compatibility is specified for the 1986-1993 Ford Mustang 5.0L and the 1986-1988 Ford Thunderbird 5.0L. It supports manual transmissions and hydraulic-controlled automatic transmissions, but does not support electronic automatic transmission control.
