The MegaSquirt MSPNP2 Gen 2 v2.0 Plug & Play ECU from AMP|EFI is a comprehensive engine management solution for your 86-93 Ford Foxbody Mustang 5.0 or 86-88 Ford Thunderbird 5.0. It comes with a pre-loaded startup map for the Ford HO 302ci/5.0L OHV V8, facilitating an easier first start. This ECU provides robust tuning capabilities with 16x16 fuel tables and 12x12 ignition tables for precise control over engine performance. Advanced features include multiple acceleration enrichment strategies, closed-loop idle speed control, air conditioner control, and two dedicated fuel injector channels. For boosted applications, it features an internal 4-bar MAP sensor capable of monitoring boost pressure up to 44 PSI, along with overboost protection and closed-loop boost control readiness. It's important to note that this unit exclusively supports Manual or Hydraulic Controlled Automatic Transmissions and does not support Electronic Automatic Transmission Control. While primarily designed for the 1986-1993 Ford Mustang 5.0L (Manual Transmission) and 1986-1988 Ford Thunderbird 5.0L (Manual or Factory Automatic Transmission), it may fit other EEC-IV equipped vehicles with internal jumper modifications. The package includes the ECU, M8 serial tuning cable, vacuum hose with 'T' fitting, a 26-pin connector with pigtail, tuning software and documentation card, and mounting screws.
