The Hondata S300 module is a powerful engine management solution that integrates directly into your factory Honda Engine Computer (ECU), significantly expanding its capabilities. Built upon the reliable s100/s200 codebase, the S300 offers advanced features including support for forced induction setups, comprehensive datalogging, real-time calibration updates, and crucial engine protection mechanisms. Installation involves fitting the S300 module inside the ECU. It connects via a high-speed USB port, replacing older serial connections for faster data transfer during calibration and datalogging. The included SManager software provides a user-friendly Windows interface for editing parameters and tables, uploading calibrations, and managing logged data. Key functionalities include expanded fuel and ignition tables, adjustable VTEC windows, launch control with anti-lag, full-throttle shifting, and engine protection against overboost. This system is configurable for various MAP sensors (up to 5 Bar and above) and offers adjustments for different injector sizes with overall fuel trim. It also supports TPS-based table lookup for individual throttle bodies and includes secondary fuel/ignition tables. The S300 can manage up to 60 lbs of boost and revs up to 11,000 RPM, with additional features like two multi-purpose outputs for nitrous control and PWM output for boost control. Lambda tracing is also available with a wideband O2 sensor. It is important to note that the S300 unit is designed to fit within full-frame US and most market ECU cases and will not fit in JDM ECU cases. Additionally, not all features are available for every ECU and vehicle model, and specific ECU compatibility (e.g., P28, P75) and transmission type (manual vs. automatic) are critical considerations. Professional installation is recommended.
