The EOSpeed BPM4 Low Pressure Fuel Pump Controller is an advanced EKP replacement engineered for performance-minded owners seeking a reliable and technologically superior fueling solution. Unlike the factory EKP unit, which is limited in capacity and prone to overheating with aftermarket pumps, the BPM4 is designed to directly interface with and control one, two, or even three high-capacity fuel pumps, such as Walbro 525s, under full DME control. This ensures that your vehicle's fueling system operates safely and efficiently, even under demanding conditions. Installation is straightforward thanks to the Plug-n-Play wiring that directly mates with the factory EKP harnessing, eliminating the need to disturb or modify existing wiring. The BPM4 integrates seamlessly with the vehicle's PT-CANBus, allowing for full DME control, including fail-safe modes. The controller itself is housed in a rugged, CNC-machined billet aluminum casing with an anodized finish, signifying its durable construction. The unit is designed, built, and tested in North America. Included with the BPM4 is the free TorqBFM PC software, which provides advanced control and diagnostic capabilities. Users can adjust the DME demanded duty versus actual pump duty ratio (unit slope) to optimize performance for their specific setup. The software also enables live viewing, logging, and playback of critical vehicle parameters such as RPM, fuel pump duty cycles, and analog inputs for additional sensors or current monitoring devices (offered separately). Manual override of fuel pump duty is also possible for diagnostics, though it requires extreme caution and expertise. The BPM4 is capable of safely handling peak currents up to 50A and steady-state currents of 40A indefinitely, meaning attached pumps can operate at 100% duty without issue. This eliminates the need for less sophisticated solutions like Hobbs switches, which can cause fuel pressure oscillations by working against the DME's closed-loop control system. The unit comes standard with 40A fuses and can be upgraded to 50A depending on the configuration.
