The AeroCatch Plus Flush Mount Hood Pins are a modern alternative to traditional hood pins. They feature a low-profile housing with a stainless steel clevis pin that engages an anodized aluminum hood pin. The pins are enclosed and protected by a thermoplastic housing, and can be opened or closed with one hand. This locking version includes a key lock for added security.

The AeroCatch Plus Flush Mount Hood Pins offer a sophisticated and secure solution for hood and trunk lid security, serving as a modern replacement for conventional hood pins. The system is designed with a low-profile, aerodynamic thermoplastic housing that conceals a stainless steel clevis pin. This pin engages with a high-strength, anodized aluminum hood pin, rated for a 650 lb pullout strength. Operation is simplified with a built-in actuating lever. To close, simply lower the lever, which engages the pins without requiring precise alignment. The lever also engages a secondary latch to prevent accidental opening, providing an extra layer of security. Even without the secondary latch engaged, the primary pin engagement remains secure. The actuating lever serves as a visual indicator of the pin's status – disengaged, engaged, or latched. This "Plus Flush" model is designed for surface mounting with a 6-bolt flange (3/32" thick) that measures 2 3/4" x 5". The flange design helps cover the edges of the cutout, making installation less critical for precise cutting. The housing is available in a paintable black finish. This is the "Locking" version, featuring a separate key lock for enhanced security, which is effective when the secondary latch is engaged. Sold in pairs. Minor modifications can adapt the housing for use on hinged, angled, or sliding panels, and the hood pin can be oriented at various angles relative to the panel.
