PM4 Fuel Pump Control Module

The Torqbyte PM4 Fuel Pump Control Module (FPCM) is an advanced low-pressure fuel pump (LPFP) driver module engineered as a direct, Plug-n-Play replacement for the factory VAG fuel pump PWM control module. 8J0 919 051 E), DeatschWerks DW400, or Walbro/TIA F90000267/F90000274 (450 LPH) and F90000285 (525 LPH) pumps. Standard factory modules often cannot supply the necessary current for these high-flow pumps, leading to overheating, intermittent operation, and fuel pressure drops. The PM4 rectifies this by providing up to 36A of current, enabling the ECU to maintain full closed-loop control of the fuel system pressure regardless of the aftermarket LPFP used. This module interfaces directly with the ECU, preventing diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) and retaining familiar factory operation, such as system priming when a door is opened. It supports big turbo setups by removing the traditional LPFP fueling bottleneck, allowing the fuel system to hold any ECU-requested pressure. The PM4 is also capable of driving two LPFPs in parallel and can be used to convert VAG vehicles with OEM brushless pumps to use single or twin high-capacity brushed pumps. Included with the PM4 is the free TorqVFM PC software, which allows for live-viewing, data-logging, and playback of ECU-commanded vs. actual pump duty. This feature is invaluable for diagnosing tuning issues or mechanical fuel system faults. The unit ships pre-programmed with optimal slope characteristics, requiring no additional programming for basic operation, but advanced configuration is available through the software. The PM4 is housed in a rugged, thermally-conductive, CNC-machined aluminum enclosure and operates within a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C (-40°F to +185°F).
