POINTS ELIMINATION KIT

The Pertronix 1863 Ignitor is an electronic ignition conversion kit designed for Bosch distributors in select 1968-1973 Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, and Volvo 6-cylinder engines. It replaces original mechanical breaker points with a solid-state electronic ignition system.

This kit offers improved reliability and performance over points by providing a more accurate trigger signal for better timing accuracy and preventing points bounce. It also improves dwell control for a hotter spark and longer spark plug life. The module is epoxy-molded for resistance to dirt, oil, and moisture, and it maintains stable, fixed timing without adjustments.
