Description

The Pollak 51-916E is a master disconnect switch designed for 12 VDC vehicles, including trucks, automotive, marine, and RV applications. It helps reduce the possibility of theft and accidental electrical fires by disconnecting all circuitry. This switch features heavy-duty contacts and a one-piece die-cast housing sealed with O-rings.

It operates in S.P.S.T. (Off-On) mode, has two stud terminals for the battery circuit only, and does not disconnect the alternator or generator field circuit. For vehicles equipped with alternators, the engineer must be shut off to avoid potential damage to alternator diodes. The switch is rated for 6-36 Volts with a continuous capacity of 180 Amps and 1000 Amps in Rush.
