The Mobil Polyrex EM is an electric motor bearing grease specifically formulated to provide excellent performance and protection for long electric motor life. Its advanced polyurea thickener enhances durability against mechanical shear forces, offering superior performance compared to conventional polyurea greases. This formulation ensures outstanding long-life, high-temperature lubrication for ball and roller bearings, making it ideal for sealed-for-life applications. Featuring excellent corrosion resistance, Mobil Polyrex EM protects against rust and corrosion, with additional protection under mild salt-water wash conditions compared to other formulations. It is also noted for its low-noise properties, making it suitable for lubrication in noise-sensitive applications. The grease is recommended by many major bearing and electric motor manufacturers for electric motor ball and roller bearings. Key specifications for Mobil Polyrex EM include an NLGI 2 grade, a polyurea thickener, and a blue color. It boasts a high dropping point of 260°C (ASTM D2265) and excellent lubrication life of 750+ hours at 177°C (ASTM D3336). The base oil has a viscosity of 115 mm²/s at 40°C and 12.2 mm²/s at 100°C.
