The Mobil Polyrex EP 2 is a shear-stable polyurea grease engineered with excellent extreme-pressure (EP) and load-carrying capabilities. Its advanced polyurea thickener system is designed to resist oxidation and oil separation, maintaining performance at operating temperatures as high as 160°C (320°F). This grease delivers exceptional high-temperature oxidation stability, robust load-carrying capacity, and superior shear stability. It is formulated with water-resistant polymers to create a tenacious protective film, making it effective in applications with significant water contamination. Performance in water washout and water spray-off tests demonstrates its ability to remain in place even under pressurized water spray. With a wide operating temperature range of -20°C (-4°F) to 160°C (320°F), Mobil Polyrex EP 2 is suitable for a broad spectrum of industrial and construction uses. Its proprietary EP additive package provides excellent wear protection without compromising thermal stability, outperforming conventional greases in high-temperature lubrication life tests. The grease exhibits remarkable mechanical shear stability, preventing excessive softening that could lead to leakage or purging in roller bearing applications.
