The AKG Motorsport motor and transmission mount kit is a performance-oriented upgrade designed for BMW E36, E46, Z3, and Z4 models. These mounts utilize an exclusive U.S. Military Spec 75D durometer polyurethane compound, known for its hardness and elasticity, which provides a performance level similar to metal mounts without the associated chassis harshness. This compound also offers superior durability and resistance to deformation compared to other plastic mounts, ensuring a long lifespan and a lifetime warranty.

Mil-Spec 75D durometer polyurethane compound, which is as hard as a bowling ball yet retains elasticity and memory. This proprietary compound is combined with 6061-T6 aircraft grade aluminum and is molded in the USA under ISO 9001:2015 certified standards. By eliminating this movement, the AKG mounts ensure precise responsiveness and optimal power transfer, making them an excellent choice for race classes where solid metal mounts are not permitted or for enthusiasts seeking to avoid the harshness associated with aluminum mounts. The 75D compound offers a high level of NVH (Noise Vibration Harshness) increase, a trade-off for maximum performance. This kit is compatible with a range of BMW models, including the E36 (1992-1999) 318, 323, 325, 328, M3; E46 (1999-2006) 323, 325, 328, 330, M3 (excluding Xi models); Z3 (1996-2002) 2.3, 2.5, 3.0, M; and Z4 (2003-2008) 2.5, 3.0, M. A critical installation note is that the passenger side motor mount must have a proper heat shield installed at all times. The mounts are rebuildable and backed by a lifetime replacement warranty.
