The Tomei PONCAM camshaft is engineered for the 1993-1998 Toyota Supra with the 2JZ-GTE VVT-i engine. This intake camshaft boasts a 260-degree duration and a 8.90mm lift, designed to provide smooth performance from low RPMs to the top end. Constructed with precision on CNC machines, each Tomei camshaft incorporates a magnesium phosphate coating to prevent direct contact with valvetrain components. The camshaft lobes are also treated with a "wavy groove" for improved oil lubrication and to prevent cam locking, ensuring durability and reliability. Tomei's PONCAM camshafts are designed as a direct fit, requiring no valvetrain modifications and are compatible with OEM springs and lifters. This makes them an ideal choice for tuners seeking reliable street performance without complex installation procedures. However, it is crucial to note that VVT-i and Non-VVT-i engines use different camshafts and are not cross-compatible. This specific camshaft is for VVT-i applications only.
