The Tomei Poncam Camshaft Set 258 is engineered with a specialized VALC profile to optimize valve train performance in high-power setups. This camshaft design deliberately reduces maximum cam velocity to limit lobe travel on the valve lifter, preventing contact with the lifter's edge and reducing stress and wear on the valve train components over time. This approach achieves an ideal balance for performance-oriented high-lift camshafts. This set offers a duration of 258 and features 8.5mm of lift for both the intake and exhaust cams. It is important to note that this kit requires additional components for proper installation and operation. These include the specific valve spring part number TA304A-NS07A, intake cam gears TA302B-NS05A, and exhaust cam gears TA302C-NS05A, which are not included with the camshaft set. These parts must be sourced separately to ensure full compatibility and optimal performance.
