The Tomei PONCAM Camshafts are a popular performance upgrade for the Subaru EJ255/257 engine, specifically designed for models equipped with Dual AVCS. These camshafts aim to optimize engine tuning by modifying cam duration timing and lift height to achieve maximum torque and horsepower. Unlike aggressive modifications that can lead to rough idle or mechanical damage, Tomei has developed a well-balanced profile that offers 1.3 to 1.5 times more effective valve area than regular camshafts. Constructed with special materials, these camshafts are built for high durability and efficiency. They feature an intake duration of 262° and an exhaust duration of 258°, with corresponding lifts of 9.80mm for intake and 10.80mm for exhaust. A key advantage of the PONCAM design is that no valve timing adjustments are required after installation, and they are compatible with the stock valve springs. This ensures a smoother integration and maintains the engine's inherent characteristics while enhancing performance. They are compatible with the vehicle's variable valve timing feature, further optimizing performance across the entire power band. The package includes a full set of PONCAM camshafts and comes with a manufacturer's standard warranty.
