The Tomei TA301C-NS03A Camshaft, part of the Poncam Series, is engineered for Nissan 350Z (2007-2008) and Infiniti G35 (2007-2008) models equipped with the VQ35HR engine. This intake camshaft offers a duration of 266 and a lift of 10.8mm, designed to enhance engine performance by optimizing valve operation for increased airflow. Tomei, a company with a legacy in motorsports since 1968, utilizes its deep expertise to develop components that unlock an engine's potential. The upgrade aims to improve upon the stock camshaft's design, which prioritizes fuel efficiency and smooth idling over maximum power and torque. By precisely controlling valve duration, lift, and overlap, the Tomei TA301C-NS03A facilitates greater airflow, a key factor in boosting horsepower and torque. However, for cam lifts exceeding 11.0mm, upgrading valve springs (sold separately) is recommended. Additionally, if the cam lift surpasses 11.0mm, it is advisable to recess the pistons to prevent potential valve-to-piston contact, especially when the eVTC advances timing. Installation instructions are available in PDF format for guidance. This camshaft is compatible with the Z33 MT application for the Nissan VQ35HR engine, specifically for the 2007 and 2008 model years of the Nissan 350Z and the 2007 and 2008 model years of the Infiniti G35. The product also carries a Proposition 65 warning regarding potential cancer and reproductive harm.
