Porsche 986 Caliper Mounting Kit

The Honed Development HDP23-01 is a meticulously engineered caliper mounting kit that enables the installation of OEM Brembo four-piston calipers from the first-generation Porsche Boxster (986) onto a selection of Honda vehicles. This kit is specifically designed for Honda models from 1988-2000 that originally featured 262mm/10.3″ front discs with a 4×100 wheel bolt pattern. Compatible vehicles include the 1992-95 Honda Civic (EG), 1996-2001 Honda Civic (EK), 1994-2001 Honda Integra (DC2), and the 2007-08 Honda Fit (USDM). It offers a solid and predictable pedal feel, especially when paired with a booster delete. The adapter brackets mount directly to the factory caliper mounts on the knuckle without requiring any modifications. The kit also includes an adapter for the OEM 10mm banjo fitting with new copper sealing washers, as well as M12 10.9 hardware for mounting the adapter to the knuckle and the caliper to the adapter. This kit is designed for the large hub/bearing type 4×100 suspension knuckle and will not work on knuckles originally fitted with 242mm/9.5″ brakes. It's important to note that only the base model 986 Boxster front calipers are compatible; rear calipers will not work correctly due to piston sizing differences. While the kit retains existing flexible brake hoses, aftermarket braided hoses are often recommended as OEM rubber hoses may lack the necessary slack for the caliper inlet's new position. The kit is compatible with most 15-inch wheels, and specific fitment details for various wheel models are provided.
