Overview

The Radium Engineering Port Injection Kit (PIK) is designed to add additional fuel to high-horsepower Honda K20C1 engines, commonly found in the FK8 Civic Type-R. This kit installs between the intake manifold and the cylinder head and does not replace the OEM direct injection system. It features a custom fuel rail with four threaded ports, all tapped for 8AN ORB fittings. The fuel rail has a 0.63" internal diameter bore and is CNC machined from 6063 aluminum with a laser-etched finish.

The Radium Engineering Port Injection Kit (PIK) is engineered to enhance fueling capabilities for high-horsepower Honda K20C1 engines, specifically noting its application in the FK8 Civic Type-R. This system is installed between the intake manifold and the cylinder head, serving as a supplementary fuel source that does not interfere with the factory direct injection system. The kit includes a custom fuel rail, the PIK adapter plate, mounting hardware, and OEM Honda gaskets. It is compatible with various fuel types, including E85. All four ports on the rail are tapped for 8AN ORB fittings. Phenolic mounting spacers and washers are provided to effectively isolate the fuel rail from the cylinder head's heat. The injectors are precisely angled to optimize spray into the intake ports. This kit is designed to accommodate top-feed fuel injectors with 14mm upper and lower O-rings, and the included mounting brackets allow for two different injector heights (48mm and 34mm). Note that fuel injectors, port fittings, fuel hose, wiring, and injector controllers are not included and must be purchased separately. Installation of the PIK requires consideration for the increased spacing between the intake manifold and the cylinder head. A custom throttle body pipe may need to be fabricated, or an offset silicone coupler can be used with the OEM throttle body pipe.
