The Soler Performance SE8223-91NE is a premium, modified, ported, and calibrated throttle body engineered to significantly improve airflow and engine response. It features optimized active contours with sonic flow nozzles, a porting taper and upstream bore with a velocity stack, and a greater discharge coefficient. The 91mm effective bore, achieved through a shaftless high-pressure side of the blade, provides a larger WOT flow area, increasing wide-open throttle flow by 16% over OEM (1128 +/- 20 SCFM vs. 970 SCFM). The surface finish is a 16 Ra Microinch, diamond-polished for smoothness. This throttle body aims to enhance the driving experience by offering a lower weight-to-power ratio at part throttle, leading to more nimble and spirited performance. It linearizes and smooths the engine's response curve for more predictable performance and crisper shifts, providing immediate response right off idle without affecting idling function. The unit does not require tuning and is warranty-safe. It delivers more air and power at every throttle position after idle, making it crucial for starting or expanding power gain modifications. It also fits the L83 engine (5.3L) when used with the SE8223-87-80 adapter kit. For newer trucks and SUVs (2022+), part number SE9160-91 is recommended.
