The 4Piston Racing Ported D-series Oil Pump is engineered to overcome the limitations of stock oil pumps in high-revving Honda D-series engines. While a stock pump is adequate up to 7,000 rpm, it can experience cavitation and pressure drops at higher temperatures and RPMs. This upgraded pump addresses those issues by increasing oil flow by 25%, enabling reliable operation above 9,000 rpm. This performance enhancement begins with a brand new OEM Honda oil pump. The 4Piston Racing team meticulously disassembles the pump, then ports and smooths the internal oil passages to optimize flow. Following this crucial step, the pumps are thoroughly cleaned, oiled, reassembled, and repackaged for installation. This process ensures a robust and efficient oiling solution. Available for D16Z6/PO6 and D16Y8/P7A engines, this ported oil pump serves as essential, cost-effective protection for your engine investment, particularly when operating at elevated RPMs.
