The StopTech Rear Ceramic Brake Pads are manufactured using a positive molding process, similar to Original Equipment suppliers, which ensures consistent friction material density for even wear and performance. This process uses extreme pressure to bond the friction material to the backing plate. To address noise and vibration, these pads feature precision-cut or shaved backing plates and mechanically attached shims for proper caliper fitment and reduced noise. A scorching process is also applied to pre-burnish the pads and accelerate the break-in period, forcing impurities out of the friction material.
