The Stoptech PosiQuiet brake pads are manufactured using the same positive molding process utilized by Original Equipment suppliers, ensuring consistent friction material density for even wear and performance. These pads feature precision cut or shaved backing plates and mechanically attached shims to ensure proper caliper fitment and virtually eliminate noise associated with pad vibration. A scorching process is also applied to all Posi Quiet brake pads to force impurities out of the friction material and pre-burnish the pads, accelerating the break-in process. The friction formulations are asbestos-free and available in three application-specific compounds, with all necessary hardware included where applicable.
