The Rockford Fosgate Power 1000 Mosfet Terminator Edition is a rare, vintage four-channel amplifier from the early 1990s, designed by Wayne Harris. This high-end unit features a distinctive chrome shroud and an LED bargraph meter display, a unique addition developed by Harris himself. It was a step forward from the earlier Power 1000 Mosfet, with identical internals but a shorter form factor due to the removal of its "caboose" section. With an original MSRP of $2650, this amplifier was targeted at serious car audio competitors and enthusiasts with significant means. This Class A/B amplifier delivers robust power, rated at 150 watts x 4 channels into 4 Ohms and 250 watts x 4 channels into 2 Ohms, with a bridged output of 500 watts x 2 channels. It boasts a wide frequency response of 20-100,000Hz, a damping factor over 200, and a signal-to-noise ratio over 80dB. The Power 1000 includes analog computer output protection circuitry, a 100A fuse, and a thermal sensor to safeguard against overheating. Its dimensions are 22.75" L x 7.4" W x 3.75" H, and it weighs 21lbs.
