The GSC Power-Division Intake Valve set (Part Number GSC2004-8) is engineered for the 4G63T engine, offering a +1mm oversize head diameter of 35.00mm. Constructed from modified 21-4N stainless steel, these valves are built for high heat capacity and extended longevity, making them suitable for performance applications. GSC Power-Division designed this valve line to achieve superior flow and durability. Employing advanced 3D design and simulation, they created a stronger valve head with enhanced airflow characteristics. Prototype heads are rigorously tested in their intended applications to ensure they are the highest flowing on the market. This advanced design minimizes valve face distortion, resulting in better sealing under extreme conditions and more consistent performance over time. Key features of these intake valves include swirl-polished heads for smoother airflow, a back-cut design to reduce weight for higher RPM and boost pressure, and micro-polished stems for reduced oil retention and smoother motion. The valve tips are hardened or feature a stelite wafer tip for extended wear resistance. Furthermore, the tip heights are optimized to minimize tipping, simplify valve lash adjustments, and maintain proper valve train geometry, thereby reducing installation time. The keeper grooves are precisely adjusted to balance spring pressures, potentially reducing the need for shims when used with GSC spring and retainer kits. While compatible with OEM keepers/locks, reusing old locks is not recommended for performance builds due to potential material grooving. These valves are specifically designed for a range of Mitsubishi 4G63T engines, including various years of the Eclipse GSX, GS-T, and Eagle Talon TSi models, as well as the Mitsubishi Galant VR-4.
