The JL Audio 15W0v3-4 is a 15-inch subwoofer driver engineered to deliver robust and accurate low-frequency sound. This woofer boasts a 4-ohm nominal impedance, making it compatible with a wide range of amplifiers. It handles 500 watts of RMS power and can reach up to 1000 watts of program power, with a sensitivity rating of 88 dB (1W, 1m, infinite baffle) for efficient output. Key Thiele/Small parameters include a resonance frequency (free air) of 24.4 Hz, a total quality factor (QTS) of 0.48, and a maximum linear excursion (one way) of 12.7 mm (xmax). Its diaphragm has an effective area (SD) of 789 cm² and the moving mass (including air load, MMS) is 259 g. With a mounting depth of 182 mm and an overall diameter of 394 mm, careful consideration should be given to enclosure design and vehicle fitment for optimal installation. The driver also features JL Audio's Elevated Frame Cooling design for enhanced reliability and power handling.
