The Rockford Fosgate T1682 Power Series speaker is engineered for the true car audio enthusiast, offering a significant upgrade over factory sound systems. This 6x8 inch, 2-way coaxial speaker delivers clear, loud sound across a wide frequency range (55Hz - 22kHz). Constructed with a lightweight yet durable carbon fiber and polypropylene injection molded cone, the T1682 ensures shape retention even under demanding use. It is paired with a 1-inch aluminum dome tweeter featuring a polyurethane suspension, providing crisp high frequencies. The butyl rubber surround on the midrange enhances bass and midrange accuracy, while the integrated concealed crossover (ICC) simplifies installation by eliminating external components. With a power handling of 80 Watts RMS (160 Watts peak), these speakers are optimized to perform best when connected to an external amplifier. The VAST (Vertical Attach Surround Technique) increases the cone's effective radiating area, contributing to better sound output. The T1682 speakers are sold in pairs and come with a 1-year warranty.
