The Rockford Fosgate P2V2-675 Punch speakers are engineered for both custom and OEM system upgrades, offering exceptional versatility and performance. These 6.75-inch 2-way convertible speakers can function as a direct coaxial replacement or be separated into a component system. This flexibility is facilitated by the Interchangeable Locking Mechanism (I.L.M.), allowing the tweeter to be locked or unlocked from the wired mounting cup, offering installers control over tweeter placement for optimal sound staging. Built with a focus on durability and sound quality, the P2V2-675 features a 20-40% mica-reinforced polypropylene cone for rigidity and a Santoprene™ half-roll surround for reduced distortion and high fatigue resistance. The 3/4-inch Tetolon® inverted dome tweeter, driven by an edge-driven voice coil, ensures clear and precise high-frequency reproduction. Power handling is rated at 75 watts RMS and 150 watts peak, supported by advanced VAST 2.0™ technology that increases cone area for enhanced bass output. Installation is streamlined by Rockford Fosgate's 'Auto Fit Architecture,' which includes redesigned frames, mounting holes, and a removable motor cover to ensure seamless integration into most factory locations. The package includes two 6.75" 4Ω convertible speakers, two 3/4" 4Ω tweeters, two crossovers, a tweeter removal tool, and all necessary installation hardware. A cut-out template is also provided. Grilles are sold separately. The speakers are built to last with a 15% glass-fiber reinforced composite basket, Nomex® spider, and vented Kapton® voice coil former for excellent heat dissipation and structural integrity.
