Power Rack & Pinion Kit 68-72 GM A-Body

This power rack and pinion kit is designed for 1968-1972 GM A-Body vehicles, including Chevrolet Chevelle, El Camino (small block), Monte Carlo (small block), Pontiac GTO, LeMans, Oldsmobile 442, Buick Skylark, Buick GS, and Buick Special. It is a front steer center take-off style rack and pinion that bolts into the original steering box and idler arm location, clearing Z-Bar and 4-speed linkage. The kit is compatible with small block and big block motors, although big block applications may require header modification, particularly with Mark V and Mark VI designs. Small block applications work with Hooker Comp Headers. Some aftermarket cylinder heads and short water pump applications may require additional considerations or specific components from UniSteer. The kit includes the rack and pinion, mounting bracket, and hardware.
