The aFe Power Rapid Induction Cold Air Intake System is engineered to enhance the performance of the 2011-2014 Mini Cooper S models equipped with the L4-1.6L turbo engine. This system replaces the restrictive factory air intake with a high-flow design, promoting better engine breathing and improved power delivery. At the core of this intake is the Pro DRY S air filter, a 3-layer synthetic media designed for optimal airflow and filtration. It is washable and reusable, offering a cost-effective and environmentally friendly solution. The intake features a 16-gauge, powder-coated steel heat shield designed to block hot engine air, ensuring only cooler, denser air enters the engine for maximum performance gains. Installation is simplified with a one-piece heat shield that requires no cutting or drilling. According to aFe Power, this system can produce up to 18 HP and 20 ft-lb of torque.
