Overview

Modern power steering upgrade with a 14:1 quick ratio. Offers improved steering feel, increased header clearance, and 10 lbs weight savings over factory power boxes. Bolts directly to stock K-member. Requires shortening the steering column and connection via a vibration-reducing universal joint coupling (part #036425, drill bit and pins included). Features 11/16"-36 spline input shaft and 1-1/8" Mopar pitman shaft (32 splines, 4 master splines). Pressure port: 16mm x 1.5 flare (closest to engine). Return port: 16mm x 1.5 flare (closest to input shaft). Max pressure: 1450 PSI (optimal 1100-1250 PSI). Recommended flow rate: 2.0-2.5 GPM. A power steering cooler is highly recommended. Assembled and tested in the USA with a 3-year warranty.

Borgeson Universal has now developed and is producing a modern quick 14:1 ratio power steering conversion box for the 1962-1979 Mopar cars with a 1-1/8" sector shaft. This Borgeson conversion box is a new modern power steering gearbox that has undergone extensive modifications to be a direct bolt in for 1962-1979 Mopars. The Borgeson conversion box will fit with NO modifications to the stock frame or K-member and is a direct bolt in to the factory mounting location with only minor steering column modifications.
