The Red Head 2856SNI-3T is a remanufactured steering gear box engineered specifically for 1980-1993 Dodge Pickup Trucks, including D-Series and W-Series models. This unit offers a precise 15:1 steering ratio, translating to approximately 3 turns from lock to lock, providing improved responsiveness over stock units. Constructed with a 31-spline SNI (Small Notch Input) and a 32-spline output sector, this steering gear is built for durability. It utilizes O-ring fittings for secure connections. The product comes with a 12-month warranty, and core return instructions are available. A $400 core charge applies, which is refunded upon return of the original core part. Installation considerations include specific bleeding instructions provided by Red Head. Optional accessories such as a stock or drop pitman arm, and an additional two power steering ports for aftermarket RAM assist setups, can be added at the time of purchase.
