The USA Standard Gear ZSG6537 is a power steering gear box designed to replace worn-out units, improving vague and floaty steering. This steering box fits a wide range of AMC, Jeep, and GM passenger car models from the 1960s through the mid-1970s.

When your vehicle's internal steering gear components wear out, it can lead to vague steering, lane drifting, and imprecise cornering. The USA Standard Gear ZSG6537 Power Steering Gear Box is designed to be the solution for these issues, restoring responsive and controlled steering. The ZSG6537 features a black powdercoat finish, a variable steering ratio, and a total of 3.3 turns lock-to-lock. It has an input shaft diameter of 0.812 inches, an output shaft diameter of 1.25 inches, and 32 output shaft splines. The power-assisted unit includes 4 mounting holes but does not come with a pitman arm. Pressure and return port thread sizes are 11/16/2018 and 5/8 x 18, respectively. This power steering gear box is compatible with a broad spectrum of vehicles, including AMC models from 1964-1977, Jeep models from 1971-1976, and various GM passenger cars from 1964-1976. Specific applications include Buick GS models, Chevrolet Chevelle, Impala, Camaro, and Nova, as well as Oldsmobile Cutlass and Pontiac GTO and Firebird, among many others.
