The PowerStop Z36 Extreme Truck and Tow 6-Lug Braking Rotor, Drum, and Pad Kit replaces your factory-installed brake system. A drum-style braking system, unlike ordinary brake systems, delivers deceleration both outwardly and internally, resulting in an instantaneous and noiseless halt that is ideal for high-octane track racing or difficult uphill driving. The drum-style braking system uses a cylindrical aluminized steel drum with brake shoes mounted inside of it, whereas regular rotor-type brakes only give one choice for deceleration which frequently results in a loud screeching noise when you slow down. For drum-type brakes, the brake shoes spread outward, resulting in a completely silent deceleration with no turbulence or dust emission. The PowerStop Z36 Extreme Truck and Tow 6-Lug Brake Rotor, Drum, and Pad Kit employs both brake pads and brake shoes made of high-grade ceramic carbon-fiber material that is high-friction and non-corroding. Very little dust is accumulated with their ceramic attributes, resulting in a clean and spotless stop.
