The Rockford Fosgate T112D4 is a 12-inch dual 4-ohm subwoofer engineered for robust audio performance. It boasts a hard anodized aluminum cone and dust cap, providing an ideal balance of strength, weight, and thermal capacity for superior heat transfer and reduced distortion. The anodized aluminum voice coil former further enhances heat dissipation, acting as a heat sink to keep the subwoofer cool under high SPL conditions and prevent thermal build-up. This subwoofer is built for high excursion operation with a high excursion Thermo-Rubber surround and mirror-image symmetrical spiders to maintain voice coil alignment. The embedded DVC tinsel leads are stitched through the spider to prevent short circuits and ensure increased flexural strength for low-noise, high-excursion operation. Its reversible mounting design, featuring a removable trim ring, allows for a clean installation regardless of the mounting configuration. Key specifications include a 3-inch anodized aluminum voice coil diameter, a 124 oz. double-stacked motor assembly, and a sensitivity of 86 dB (SPL @ 1w/1m). It has a mounting depth of 6.625 inches and is compatible with recommended sealed enclosures of 1.25 cu. ft. or vented enclosures of 2.25 cu. ft. with a 40 Hz tuning frequency.
