The Rockford Fosgate T1S1-10P is a re-engineered 10-inch shallow-mount subwoofer from the Power series, engineered to deliver robust bass performance in compact installations. This version is specifically optimized for ported enclosures and excels in open-air environments, such as those found in topless or convertible vehicles. Key to its performance is the advanced construction, including a Linear Carbon Fiber/PMI/Glass Fiber cone with an aluminum dustcap, and a supercritical synthetic organic polymer surround created via an NCDI (Nano-Cell Direct Injection) process. This surround technology enhances efficiency and durability while resisting dry rot. The voice coil features a pure copper wire on a composite former (VCCF), rigorously tested to withstand extreme heat and minimize motor distortion due to its low magnetic susceptibility and insulating properties. Dual Nomex progressive spiders with stitched tinsel leads contribute to enhanced bass response by working together to handle a wide range of low-end notes. This subwoofer boasts a mounting depth of only 3.01 inches, making it suitable for tight spaces where traditional woofers won't fit. It handles 500 watts RMS (1000 watts peak) and features a 1-ohm single voice coil. The speaker connector uses custom 10 AWG slot-loaded brass push spring terminals, and the diecast aluminum frame includes integrated heat sink fins to aid in thermal management. The frequency response is rated from 32 Hz to 250 Hz. Installation considerations include an optimized vented box volume of 1.0 to 1.50 cubic feet. The product comes with a 1-year warranty.
