The IE POWERlink V4 Tune Cable is a direct-port ECU tuning tool designed to upload IE performance tunes to your vehicle's ECU. This device allows for quick flashing of both engine and transmission tunes directly through your vehicle's OBD2 port, typically in just a few minutes. It offers the convenience of mobile flashing via a dedicated app compatible with Apple and Android devices, providing features such as customizable live gauges, octane switching, and the ability to upgrade tune stages to match hardware. The tool also includes the functionality to read and clear diagnostic codes and check emissions monitors. For users preferring a laptop interface, the IE Flash Wizard Software is available, requiring a Windows 10 or newer operating system with at least a 1.0GHz processor and 4GB of RAM. Important compatibility notes: Mobile flashing support is not available for VW MK5 or MK6 generation 2.0T or 2.5L engines (including 3C, B6, 8P, 8U, and 5N chassis); these ECUs require a Windows-based laptop for tuning. Additionally, the mobile flashing app is not compatible with older V3 serial number POWERlinks; an upgrade to a V4 model is necessary. Existing V4 owners may need to update their dongle firmware for Bluetooth mobile flashing.
