The Garrett PowerMAX Stage 1 turbocharger, part number 917056-5002S, is a direct-fit upgrade engineered for enhanced performance. It is designed to support up to 447 BHP, representing a significant +32% increase in compressor flow over the stock unit. This turbo features advanced aerodynamic designs, including a GTX Gen II compressor wheel and a Mar-M alloy turbine wheel, capable of handling temperatures up to 1050C. The turbine housing is also constructed from stainless steel, rated for the same high temperature. This complete assembly includes a calibrated electric actuator for a seamless OE fitment, simplifying installation. Internally, it utilizes the latest generation of journal bearing rotor group with a reinforced 360-degree thrust bearing for durability and performance. Specific vehicle applications include the VW GTI, Tiguan, Audi TT 45, Q3 45, Skoda Octavia RS, and Cupra Leon 2.0 TSI, all MY 2020+ with the EA888 Gen4 engine. A speed sensor kit, such as the ATP-ACS-032, is recommended and sold separately to complement the installation and performance monitoring capabilities of this turbocharger.
