This head includes dual valve springs with 138 lb. rating, CNC-machined combustion chambers, and a solid roller camshaft style.

The Trick Flow® PowerPort® 290 Cylinder Heads are engineered for high-performance Ford 429/460 street and street/strip applications, aiming to deliver substantial horsepower and torque increases. These assembled cylinder heads boast a Fast As Cast® construction, which replicates the port shape and profile of CNC-ported heads, offering near-CNC performance at a more accessible price point. Key specifications include 74cc combustion chambers, 290cc intake runners, and 130cc exhaust runners, designed for optimized airflow and combustion efficiency. The heads are CNC-machined in the combustion chamber but not in the intake or exhaust runners. They come with dual valve springs rated to 138 lbs. and are compatible with solid roller camshafts, supporting up to 0.680" of valve lift. The intake valves measure 2.200" and exhaust valves are 1.760". The exhaust ports are raised 0.270" over stock for improved flow, and a Cobra Jet header is required. These cylinder heads are built with a cast aluminum material and feature a heart-shaped combustion chamber with a standard intake port location and D-port exhaust ports. They include intake and exhaust valves, dual damper springs, chromoly steel retainers, 10-degree locks, valve stem seals, rocker arm studs, and guideplates. The valve guides are made of bronze and feature 3-angle ductile iron valve seats. Note that rocker arms and rocker arm nuts are not included.
