When building K24Z motors for high-power applications requiring operation beyond 8000 RPM, the factory oiling system's inefficiency due to balance shafts becomes a concern. A popular and effective solution is swapping in the Acura RSX Type-S PRB oil pump to remove these shafts and ensure better oil supply. The PRL Motorsports PRB/ Type-S Oil Pump Windage Tray Bracket is specifically engineered as a required piece to correctly triangulate the PRB oil pump and install the windage tray without the need for modifications. This ensures proper fitment and function when upgrading the oiling system. It is designed to work in conjunction with the PRB oil pump swap, addressing the challenges of integrating this component into K24Z engines. The primary benefit is the secure and precise mounting of the windage tray, which is crucial for optimal oil management under high-stress conditions. It is recommended that all products be installed by a qualified fabricator or mechanic.
