The DARKMATTERX Subaru Precision Shift Arm is engineered to directly replace the OEM shift arm in your 2004-2007 Subaru STI, providing an immediate solution to excessive shifter play. This direct-fit component requires zero modifications, allowing for a straightforward installation by un-installing the factory arm and replacing it. The core of this shift arm's performance lies in its integrated needle bearing u-joint. Unlike other aftermarket designs, this u-joint is welded directly to the shift arm and comes preloaded with precision needle bearings. This design ensures smooth, instantaneous engagement, effectively eliminating all the slop found in the OEM setup. To further enhance durability and performance, a protective rubber boot and stainless steel hose clamps are included to shield the u-joint from moisture and debris, a feature often absent in other designs. Constructed with an OEM fit in mind, this shift arm guarantees a factory-like installation. The Cerakote finish provides exceptional durability, protecting the metal components from environmental wear and ensuring the product's longevity.
