Prefab Bed Cage

The Dirt King Prefab Bed Cage is a crucial structural component for any 2015-2020 Ford F-150 owner looking to build a serious long-travel rear suspension system. It's designed not just to mount rear shocks, but to provide a robust foundation that can handle the intense loads encountered during high-speed desert runs and demanding trail use, significantly improving rear shock stability and packaging compared to narrower inboard layouts. Constructed from durable 2"x.120" tubing and 1/4", 3/16", and 1/8" plates, this bed cage features a boxed plate and tube design that is professionally MIG welded for maximum strength and longevity. It’s CAD designed and offers a bolt-on application for straightforward installation. The cage is specifically built to support 16" travel shocks (26" collapsed, 42" extended) and can accommodate 14" shocks with extended rod ends. It is compatible with 3.0" diameter shocks, and also works with 2.5"-3.5" shocks, featuring bypass tubes on both the front and back of the shocks. The shock mounting width is 1.5", with accessory mounting holes sized at 1/2". Proper fitment and setup require attention to axle width; this bed cage necessitates 2" wheel spacers or a 2" wider per side axle. Note that Raptor axles do not require wheel spacers. For optimal performance, it is recommended to pair this bed cage with Deaver V115 leaf springs, though it is also compatible with Deaver L84 leaf springs.
